On May 16, 2026, Mr. Chinbat Choijamts, Founder and Chairman of Mongolia’s Monzol Group, Yao Jiang, President of Mine Microgrid at Huawei Digital Energy, Wen Lin, Chairman of Guoneng Huitong, together with their core teams, paid a visit to CENTER INT Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CENTER INT). Liu Aisen, Chairman of CENTER INT, and the management team received the guests. Both sides conducted in-depth exchanges on the green, low-carbon development and smart operation of open-pit metal and coal mines, and officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on strategic cooperation. This signing marks that the cooperation between Chinese and Mongolian enterprises in the field of "mine + new energy + digital intelligence" has entered the phase of substantial advancement.

During the visit, the delegation from Monzol Group toured CENTER INT’s headquarters and technology exhibition center, with focused discussions on comprehensive solutions for open-pit metal and coal mines. CENTER INT presented its independently developed AI smart mine management system, autonomous driverless transportation solutions, full-process operation and dispatching platform, pure electric driverless fleets, as well as electrification retrofitting technologies for heavy-duty trucks adapted to cold-region mining areas. The Mongolian side highly recognized CENTER INT’s integrated capabilities in mine electrification, unmanned operation and intelligent transformation, stating that these technologies can well address the needs of large open-pit mines in Mongolia for cost reduction, efficiency improvement, safe production and carbon emission cuts.
To tackle practical challenges including power shortages at mining sites and the fragile power grid in Ulaanbaatar, CENTER INT showcased smart microgrid solutions built on Huawei’s grid-forming microgrid technology. Integrated with CENTER INT’s PV-energy storage-charging solutions, the system realizes coordinated control of source, grid, load and storage within mining areas. It supports off-grid operation and black start, delivering stable green power around the clock for remote open-pit mines. The two parties plan to first deploy grid-forming microgrids in mining areas and newly-built industrial parks in southern Mongolia, and equip them with charging infrastructure for electric mining trucks, so as to build a closed-loop ecosystem featuring green power generation, intelligent dispatching and electric transportation.
In accordance with the MOU, the two parties will carry out phased cooperation in the following areas:
Mining and Infrastructure Jointly develop stripping, transportation and processing facilities for open-pit metal and coal mines, and deploy CENTER INT’s AI operation & dispatching system and driverless transport fleets.
New Energy Complex Within the agreed scope of cooperation, jointly develop solar power stations, battery energy storage systems (BESS), integrated solar and energy storage solutions, and charging facilities for electric mining trucks. The cooperation will also extend to smart grid, digital energy management and innovative energy finance.
Joint Venture Platform The two sides intend to set up a joint venture company. CENTER INT will be responsible for technical solutions, financing evaluation and engineering standards, while Monzol Group will handle local permits, land coordination and government liaison work.
As a top private comprehensive group engaged in coal and logistics in Mongolia, Monzol Group has been listed among Mongolia’s Top 100 Outstanding Enterprises for six consecutive years. It owns large coking coal and metal mines with high annual output, and is currently constructing a 270-kilometer dedicated coal transport highway. Previously, the group cooperated with Huawei on a coal mine project featuring 16MWp PV and 40.5MWh energy storage. The new strategic partnership with CENTER INT will help it upgrade from simple power supply to full-lifecycle smart energy management for mines, setting a replicable model for the integrated development of mining, new energy and digital transportation in Mongolia.
CENTER INT stated that it will take this cooperation as an opportunity to export China’s advanced grid-forming smart microgrid technologies, pure electric driverless transport equipment and AI mine operation systems to Mongolia. The joint efforts will help Mongolia achieve three major goals: carbon reduction in mining, reliable industrial power supply and air pollution control in the capital city. Both parties agreed to launch joint bidding for the first batch of five solar-storage projects in the near future to accelerate the implementation of the MOU.
Founded in 2000, Monzol Group is a leading private coal and logistics conglomerate in Mongolia. It has been named one of Mongolia’s Top 100 Outstanding Enterprises for six consecutive years, and its founder was awarded the title of "Meritorious Industrial Worker" by the President of Mongolia in 2023.
A pioneer in the PV-energy storage-charging sector, CENTER INT stepped into this business in 2025. Supported by the tripartite ecosystem jointly built with LONGi and Huawei, the company delivers industry-leading smart energy solutions for clients.
The signing of this strategic cooperation MOU marks not only the start of mutually beneficial collaboration based on complementary strengths between CENTER INT and Monzol Group, but also an important milestone for in-depth cooperation between China and Mongolia in green mines and smart energy. Going forward, adhering to the vision of "Building Zero-Carbon Mines and Sharing a Green Future", the two sides will accelerate the large-scale application of grid-forming smart microgrids, PV-energy storage-charging systems and unmanned transportation solutions in Mongolia, and inject strong impetus into China-Mongolia economic and trade cooperation as well as regional energy transition.
