Guizhou Aluminum Plant Site Pollution Control Project
Project Profile: This aluminum plant was originally built with aid from the former Soviet Union and was once the largest aluminum industrial base in Asia. As a key project under China's first "Five-Year Plan," it earned the titles "Cradle of China's Aluminum Industry" and "Ten-Li Aluminum City," standing as a microcosm of the nation's entrepreneurial and striving spirit in aluminum industrialization. The project involved a typical smelting-contaminated site, requiring the combined application of multiple technologies, which presented a significant test of organizational capabilities for large-scale remediation and secondary pollution prevention.
Primary Contaminants: Heavy Metals, Fluorides, Semi-Volatile Organic Compounds (SVOCs)
Technical Approach: In-situ Ex-situ Gas Thermal Desorption, Solidification/Stabilization
