Guangdong Landfill Remediation Service Project

Project Profile: This sanitary landfill is located in a valley in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, and was constructed in two phases. Phase I has been completed with standard closure and revegetation, while Phase II remains under temporary cover as a contingency landfill resource. Through methods including site investigation, geophysical surveys, field testing, tracking sampling, and numerical modeling, the project identified the causes of groundwater contamination, assessed the current status and dynamic patterns of pollution, and evaluated associated risks. Based on the findings, a targeted remediation technical plan was developed to address the "exceedance of specific indicators in the groundwater of both Phase I and Phase II." Integrating the preliminary investigation report and the technical plan, a comprehensive remediation implementation plan was refined, various remediation measures were implemented, and remediation services were carried out to manage and control the landfill's impact on groundwater, achieving the goal of "steadily improving" groundwater environmental quality.
